Degrees Roemer

The Rømer scale, also known as Romer or Roemer, is a temperature scale named after the Danish astronomer Ole Christensen Rømer, who proposed it in 1701. It is based on the freezing point of pure water being 7.5 degrees and the boiling point of water as 60 degrees. This scale was the first commonly used temperature scale and was used by Fahrenheit when he started his scale, until he discovered a colder cold.

Degrees Fahrenheit

The Fahrenheit scale is a temperature scale based on one proposed in 1724 by the physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit. It uses the degree Fahrenheit (symbol: °F) as the unit. The inner core of Earth is around 9,392 degrees Fahrenheit and made of a hot, dense ball of mostly iron.
